CARPET CLEANING AND YOUR FAMILY'S HEALTH
Are you thinking you might want to buy new carpet instead of clean the old? As a carpet INSPECTOR as well as a cleaner over the last 20+ years, I know a LOT about buying new carpet that will work for you. Don't spend several thousand dollars on new carpet without knowing all the factors, and end up making a very expensive mistake. I have written a short book (Carpet Buying Secrets by a Carpet Insider) that will help you tremendously to make a purchase you will not regret later. Click HERE to go to my website which has samples from the book and where you can DOWNLOAD IT INSTANTLY.
The carpet on your floor is made up of very small plastic rods (filaments) that are smaller than human or pet hair. (If your carpet is wool, then the filaments are of course from sheep). The filaments are twisted together into yarn bundles, tufted through a backing (primary) and sealed in place with latex adhesive, then a second backing (secondary) is applied to the first for stability. If the carpet is a cut-pile like Saxony or plush, then the loops are cut, otherwise they are left looped like for berber. If the yarn is not already dyed, the carpet is dyed, dried, rolled up, and then before you know it, it is in your home looking very pretty and exciting. Here is where the problem starts; you let your family and pets walk and lay on it, and after a while it isn’t pretty anymore.
I can help. First of all, make sure you vacuum the carpet regularly, not just when there is debris laying on the surface. Since your home/business is in the Columbia Basin, there are many types of particulates and oils that will slowly start taking residence in the carpet fibers, including dust mites (don’t be embarrassed, they are in my carpet also). Regular vacuuming will greatly prolong the life of your carpet. Removing the particulates before they can permanently damage the carpet fibers is very important. Once the fibers are scratched from the particulates (like sand or ash) they get darker looking as they cannot reflect light as well. It looks like dirt. But once the fibers are scratched, even I with my impressive cleaning abilities cannot help. Vacuuming also greatly minimizes the level of dust mites in your carpet and home. As you probably know, outdoor air contains pollens, fungus, bacteria, air pollution, cigarette smoke, car exhaust – and hundreds of other chemicals. When you and your family members come into your home, you carry those pollens, bacteria and chemicals in your hair and on your skin, clothing and shoes, and they wind up in your carpet. This “oil” attaches to the fibers, making your vacuum not able to remove the particulates as well.
That’s when you call me, and I will remove all of these foreign substances and you will have your fresh, fluffy carpet back again. I use the latest in truck-mounted carpet cleaning technology and chemicals. That just means that your carpet will be cleaned quickly, thoroughly, dry within four or five hours, and with a minimum impact to the environment. Long before “green” was in, I’ve been using a balanced ph cleaner (unlike the rental machine cleaners that are high ph), a heat converter eliminating the need for propane, triple filter the residue water, and use citrus based (d-limonene) spotters whenever possible. I will make your home a safe and clean refuge for your family and pets (I know, they are family too!). I fully guarantee our cleaning with a full money-back guarantee if not completely satisfied. Check out our testimonial page if you haven’t done so already. Also, I clean furniture and tile & grout with the same attention to detail and full guarantee. Call me today at 762-5326 or contact me via email to schedule or with questions. Also, see the information on how to choose a carpet cleaner.
